• Reiki's meaning comes from the combination of two Japanese Kanji

  • Rei can be summarized as Spiritual Wisdom

  • Ki is similar to Chi or Prana and means Life Force Energy

• Reiki is performed by inviting the flow of the energy described above through the hands of the practitioner to the client's body

• Although Reiki flows through the hands, it does not have to include physical touch

• Many describe Reiki as calming, relaxing and beneficial, and indicated that it fosters a sense of balance and peace

• Some people feel warmth or tingling during a Reiki session, while others simply experience deep relaxation.

• Sound Healing is what you might imagine, using specific frequencies to stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms:

  • You've probably experienced this form of healing at some level when enjoying dancing, singing, or crying to your favorite song(s)

  • In my practice I utilize shamanistic spirit drumming, crystal singing bowls, and tuning forks

  • I infuse Reiki energy into the sound practices I use
